Jairo Sandoval Sanchez is a medical graduate of the Pontifical Javeriana University in Colombia and later graduated as a pathologist at the University of Cauca.

He has traveled to several countries in South America, Central America and spent four years in Europe.

Curently he is based in Medellin, Antioquia where he works as a professor at the Universidad Cooperativa of Colombia.

He has had attended various photographic trainings in different universities and is currently at the University of Fine Arts, where he has held various collective expositions.

He is also an astronomer and has worked at the Tatacoa Observatory where he took many Astronomical pictures.

As a pathologist, he has taken thousands of photographs, anatomical parts, and microscopical histological slides .

Throughout his many years in photography, he has taken pictures in black and white, color, slides (reversal film) and currently digital pictures.

Due to his experience in photography, his pictures have been used by many of his colleagues for seminars as well as national and international conferences.
